About Us

Karen Odom began her career with the firm in 1987 becoming a partner in 1994. In addition to her experience in financial, tax and estate planning, Karen is a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst and works with those who are going through divorce by assisting the clients and their attorneys with the tax and financial aspects that impact their present and future situations. Tax and financial planning, asset discovery, spousal support, expert witness, and family financial mediation services are a few of the areas in which she assists divorce clients. Karen is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants and the Institute for Divorce Financial Analysts. She is an active leader in the community and her church and has competed regionally and nationally in the Pro-Am division of Ballroom, Latin, and Swing dancing. Karen has placed nationally and is the recipient of several competitive awards. She was also selected as one of the recipients of the Triad Business Journal's Outstanding Women In Business for 2016.

Karen Barksdale concentrates her practice in tax planning and compliance for individuals, corporations, and partnerships with a particular focus in estates and trusts. A graduate of Averett University in Danville, Va., she has been with the company since 1995. She is a member of the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She is also an active member of Green Street Baptist Church in High Point and serves on the board of the YWCA of High Point.

Lisa Horne concentrates her efforts on helping her individual, corporate, partnerships, and non-profit clients on a daily basis. She graduated from High Point University and has been in the public accounting field for more than two decades including at the firm since 2004. She is a member of the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
